Hello, we're Ballyhoo and we're different
Who are Ballyhoo?
Our goal is really quite simple - create successful websites! We achieve this by drawing on many years of experience, by knowing our industry inside out and by paying attention to emerging trends and technologies.
Ballyhoo is a growing company that has evolved to offer a range of services that are designed to make your website stand out from the crowd and find success online. The Oxford English Dictionary definition of Ballyhoo is 'praise or publicise extravagantly' – we feel that this matches our ethos and the approach we take to the websites we produce and manage.
From our base in Birmingham we are ideally placed to work with organisations across England, Wales and the rest of the UK. We've enjoyed working on a wide range of projects, covering a number of sectors including hospitality, travel and leisure, safety, retail, financial and legal services and energy – in fact, you name an industry and we've probably created a website for it! We also work with a number of charitable organisations as well as health initiatives and local Police Federations.
How we work
We're not your run of the mill web design company, we work with you from concept to the finished product and beyond to create a website that produces a return on your investment.
Our core services of web design, online marketing and hosting mean we're the only company you need to work with – and we hope that we'll be working with you for many years to come.
A typical project begins with a discussion about what you want to achieve and how we can help you. We then create any designs needed, only proceeding to development when you're completely happy. Your website is then built in a temporary online environment and thoroughly tested. After launch we offer ongoing support and assistance as you and your business evolve online.

Meet the team
Anthony graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2004 with a degree in Computer Science. During his time at uni he started his first web design venture with a friend which has since evolved to become the Ballyhoo we know today.
Anthony's role is to manage your projects and get the most out of his team. More likely than not, Anthony will meet with you and be your main contact during your time with Ballyhoo.
Alison is our Office Manager and keeps Ballyhoo running smoothly and working towards bigger and brighter things.
She's mainly responsible for accounts, administration and Ballyhoo's public image but can also lend her hand to testing, minor website updates and much more. In fact, a typical day in the office will usually encompass all of these tasks.
Alison pays attention to every detail and won't be happy until your project is perfect.
Online Marketing Manager
Sam's area of expertise is online marketing (search engines, social media, price comparison, cost-per-click and the like).
Sam manages online marketing strategies big and small for our customers, helping them to identify areas for improvement and to make the most of their websites.
His knowledge and skills can help you turn an online presence into an online success, just ask us how.
Online Marketing Assistant
Whilst completing her A Levels, Georgia found a passion for photography and online platforms. Her skills in communications, photography and SEO will all help boost your website's rankings and success.
Georgia will be supporting Sam with Online Marketing (search engines, social media, content, and newsletters etc.) along with assisting Ballyhoo’s support team.
James' skills help us to create the reliable and efficient back-end systems that do all the hard work behind a website's interface.
Our in-house systems Ballyhoo Refresh and Ballyhoo Commerce are just two examples of the type of projects James works on.
Front-End Web Developer
After spending a year specialising in both front and back-end software development, Dale joined Ballyhoo to widen his skills and move into something a little more creative. Dale studied web design and development for a few years beforehand and is looking to enhance his knowledge of different systems.
As part of the project lifecycle, Dale is responsible for bringing the web design concepts we produce to life in the web browser using languages such as HTML, CSS and jQuery.
After studying Digital Arts at Thames Valley University Benjy turned his hand to web design. He has over ten years experience designing for the web and has a good knowledge of the entire development process. This makes Benjy the ideal candidate when it comes to designing anything for the web.
Benjy is passionate about responsive web design, user interface, user experience, animation, typography and notebooks.
Benjy uses a range of tools to complete his process (including pencil and paper) and is proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
