Outlook 2003 Email Accounts

The following instructions refer to setting up an email account in Microsoft Outlook 2003.

We have used test@ballyhoodemo.co.uk as an example in each step but you should substitute the email address or any other details we have supplied you with where appropriate.


Getting Started

Open Outlook 2003.

Go to Tools then select E-Mail Accounts which will open a new window.

Select Add New E-mail Account. Click Next.

Select POP3 as the server type. Click Next.

Now click on More Settings which will open a new window.

E-Mail Accounts

You should have now returned to the E-Mail Accounts window.

Click Test Account Settings which will open a new window.


Test Account Settings

Each test should run automatically and be successful. If a window appears asking for a password this means you have not entered the previous settings correctly - click close an check your settings.

Click Close if testing is successful.

You will return to the E-Mail Accounts window. Click Next.

Final Step

To send and receive any outstanding emails you can either:

Click Send/Recv in the top menu.

Send/Receive

Go to Tools > Send and Receive > Send and Receive All.
